On Acecard 3ds. (Also have a R4 classic if that is needed.)
I want to run gba games on my 3dsxl.
On Acecard 3ds. (Also have a R4 classic if that is needed.)
I miss minish cap for example, and most of all want to properly play FFTA. And replay AW.
Game roms work fine on laptop via emulator, but I want to play on 3dsxl.
So I followed this injector boy:
which uses an injector. It produces a cia filetype which goes into a cias directory. But neither my memory card nor my acecard wood thing have such a cias directory.
I made a cias directory on my ace but of course no file showed up when using via 3ds.
I also used
SNEmulDS.nds -> runs but cannot find smc files on flash. Where should I put these on ace card?
lolSNES.nds -> doesnt seem to run at all.
So I'm out of options and open to suggestions (other than buy a gba on ebay of course). Thank you!

I'm assuming you can use this with Ironhax or Tubehax since I see Smealum's name in the URL. I'm on an original 3DS XL. How is speed / performance of this vs. TempGBA on the SuperCard DSTwo? If Nintendo wasn't going to put gba games on the 3DS eshop? It doesn't make sense. I have like 70 gba games. Luckily I still have my gba sp2, as well as ds lite. But it would have been nice to play them on the large screen of the 3DS XL.

To use (install on the console SD) .CIA files you have to install custom firmware on your 3DS. Refer to the guide
https://3ds.hacks.guide/
This allows you to use GBA Virtual Console injections and MUCH(!) more.
With CFW you can use emulators in 3DS mode (higher resolution, better compatibility, full processor power and RAM) – like this SNES emulator:
https://github.com/bubble2k16/snes9x_3ds/releases
ScummVM exists for the 3DS as well (you mentioned Day of the tentacle in another question)
https://www.scummvm.org/downloads/
The possibilities in DS mode (Acekard) are limited in comparison to 3DS mode. For GBA games there is GBARunner2. It might work from the Acekard.

Good luck and have fun!

If you have CFW, best choice is to get the Ultimate GBA VC injector for 3DS https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-ultimate-gba-vc-injector-for-3ds.438057/
It allows you to make an installable CIA of your GBA roms

I recommend that you play Mother3 on PC emulator.
The GBA emulator for 3DS (even Virtual Console) has issues with sound quality.

All you need is TWiLight Menu++
It can run many different systems - (DS, DSi, GBA, GBC, GB, NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, and many others) And boot them directly from your SD card. You need to have CFW (softmod) to be able to use this, but anyone with a 3DS or DSi should already have that installed already!

Gba Games On 3ds Emulator
A new release of mGBA, version 0.8.4, is available. This version is a bugfix release, which contains many stability and accuracy fixes. Technics kn 440 manual. Notably, an issue in the 3DS version that would lead to the 3DS crashing when exiting the emulator, and an issue that would lead mGBA to appearing in a language other than English by default on macOS despite the system language being set to English, have been fixed. The previously mentioned bug with Advance Wars is still present in 0.8.4. It has also been discovered to affect Final Fantasy I. This can be worked around by using a dump of the official BIOS, or using a development build, also available on the download page, which has the bug fixed. An extensive list of changes follows after the cut.
